Embedding Multiple Locations on Google Maps

Google Maps provides a feature that allows you to create a map with multiple markers, each representing a specific location. This can be particularly handy for displaying business locations, event venues, or any other points of interest, all on one map.

Step By Step Guide

1:

Go to Google Maps and make sure you are signed into your Gmail/Google Account. You should be able to see your profile icon in the top right when you have done this.

If you do not have a Google Account, please follow the link here.

2:

Click "Saved" in the left sidebar.

3:

Click on the "Maps" tab.

4:

Navigate to the bottom of the "Maps" tab and click on "CREATE MAP".

5:

Here you can click on the layer and rename it whatever you like.

6:

Search for a location you would like to add to the map.

7:

Click "+ Add to map".

8:

Press the styles icon to edit the location icon.

9:

Here you can change the icon shape and colour, or even upload your own custom icon.

10:

Repeat steps 6 through 9 to add more locations, then click "+ Share" once you are happy with your map.

11:

Here you can give your map a name and a short description.

12:

Make sure you have all the blue toggles switched on, then click the blue "Close" button.

13:

Once back on the map screen, press the "3 dots" menu button.

14:

Next, choose "Embed on my site".

15:

You will then be given an embed code which you can email over to us at support@toolkit.uk and let us know where you want it added on your website.
