Since 2015 we’ve been making free website changes for our hundreds of our clients on their live websites, even though updates, no matter how quick, should be quoted at our £55+vat hourly rate as per our terms of service .

We do this because we know how valuable a quick change can be for a business, saving time, ensuring changes are made correctly, and importantly, avoiding any extra costs.

This policy guarantees that all our client websites remain up to date and always reflect how the business is doing in real time.

Free Website Changes My Subscription

Subscriptions

Our subscriptions provide our clients with access to our bespoke content management system (CMS) alongside UK based support from our Chichester team, so clients can make changes themselves directly, knowing they're supported all year round.

That being said, we quickly learned that many of our clients may only need to make a few changes to their website each year, so in 2015 we decided to start making simple content changes that take our team less than 5 minutes free of charge for clients, & returned within 3-5 days.

99.9% of other Web Design companies wouldn’t do this.

Free Changes

Websites must be a real time reflection of a business, so keeping blogs posted, latest news updated, recent projects added & any internal business or service changes reflected is critical. Our free change policy was designed to ensure all our 1,500+ clients have up to date websites, without needing to pay extra or even do it themselves.

5 minutes for our team might be a 30 minute or more change for the average client, so we encourage our clients to email us every few weeks with any updates their websites need.

All changes must be content based and sent in one email. Design updates are not free so would need to be quoted for due to the time they take. Any additional requests once free updates have been made, no matter how small, are charged at our hourly rate.

Content Changes

The most common content changes are blog updates, latest news posts, new testimonials or recent projects.

Content is the text or images on a website, so updating what's on the website, not how the website is designed or laid out.

This content change policy means our clients can keep their websites up to date without having to make the changes themselves, free of charge.

Design Changes

Updating text on a website or adding images is quick and easy, however changing design elements such as images, backgrounds, graphics etc. is not.

All our websites are bespoke and changes to the colours, layouts, backgrounds, styles or general look and feel of the sites design would require our design team and as such, would be something we’d need to quote for.

Frequency

We try to be as fair as we can, so when we’re asked to make free changes to a clients site, it’s done on the basis that there won’t be more changes needed in the next 7 days.

If we’re asked to make regular ‘free changes’ for a single website, then we would have to either revert back to our terms of service and start quoting for quick updates or upgrade your package to allow for extra weekly updates as per the table above. Our free changes policy is designed for those looking to make a single set of changes on a monthly or even annual basis.
