Google Ads Tracking

Track your data

To start tracking user data on your site using Google Ads and Google Tag manager, send us the code provided from Google Tag Manager, and we'll be happy to add it onto the site.

The code should look similar to this:

Head

Gtm head

Body

Gtm body

Track form conversions with a custom thank you page

If you'd like to track your form conversions with Google Tag Manager and Google Ads, we can set up a custom thank you page for the form on your site and track when someone views the thank you page by adding the GTM tracking code to the page.

To do this, you'll need to create an event configuration in Google Tag Manager, with a trigger for the page view event to fire for the thank you page URL.

Tracking element clicks

To track element clicks, such as a menu link or a download button, set up an event in GTM to trigger on Element Click . Set the trigger to fire when the Click ID equals *ELEMENT ID* . If the element doesn't have an ID, let us know and we can add one to the element.

Tracking ecommerce with Shoprocket

If your website has ecommerce integration with Shoprocket, Shoprocket can send events to Google Analytics so that you can track your data. The events that can be fired are:

  • add_to_cart
  • remove_from_cart
  • begin_checkout
  • purchase
  • view_item
  • view_cart
  • select_item
  • checkout_progress
  • generate_lead

Shoprocket can also send user data to Google Analytics. Please note that this feature is only available with the Business plan or higher.
