Search Engine Settings

In Settings you can enter five searches that you would like your website to be found under in search engines (e.g. Google). This doesn't affect your search engine ranking but is useful for targeting your website content to these searches. You can also update your 'Meta Description' and 'Meta Keywords'.

Step By Step Guide

1:
In The Toolkit , go to 'Search Engines' and then 'Settings'.


2:
Enter in five searches that you would like your website to be found under in search engines.


3:
Enter in your 'Website Browser Title'. This is what displays in the top of the browser and Search Engines also use it for reference when displaying your page in the search results.


4:
Enter in your 'Meta Keywords' and 'Meta Description' and if you have any queries as to what meta keywords and descriptions are, you can click on the 'Whats This?' button.


5:
Enter in your 'Website Verification Code' and if you have any queries as to what a website verification code is, you can click on the 'Whats This?' button.


6:
Enter in your 'Logo Alt Text'. This is text that describes the logo to Search Engines and people that use a screenreader.


7:
Click on 'Save Changes' at the bottom of the page.
